Villa Kessar

Back to Top of Villa Kessar PageOverview

The northeast corner of Corfu is a perfect example of natural harmony, with mountain crags overlooking rolling, olive-clad hills and a series of serene bays and coves, some of them still only accessible by boat.
Villa Kessar is located on one of these hills, just 2 kms from the delightful little harbour resort of St Stephanos and 3 kms from Avlaki, with its great crescent of white pebble beach and its excellent sailing centre.

The villa occupies an exceptionally private location, set amidst pretty gardens planted with Mediterranean shrubs, and with enchanting glimpses of the sea and the coastlines of both Corfu and Albania.

The bungalow-style accommodation is all on one floor, making this a villa very suitable for people with mobility problems. All rooms open on to terraces that overlook the gardens and the olive groves that surround the property, and there are several pleasant areas in which to enjoy an outdoor meal or just sit and read or relish the peace. A few steps lead up to the large swimming pool that enjoys uninterrupted views all round and has a separate children's pool beside it. It is no great distance to the nearest beaches, or to the resort of St Stephanos with its shops and tavernas, however car hire is recommended.

Just one step leads up from the parking area and front garden into the house, which has recently been completely renovated. Simply furnished, but bright and attractive, the rooms all open on to terraces, and the bedrooms all have small private patios of their own The front door opens into the living room, which has a very practical kitchen area along one wall, and a pleasant breakfast or dining area adjoining. The master double bedroom occupies a suite with a foyer and en suite bathroom, and in addition to this there are two twin-bedded rooms and a single bedroom, plus two separate shower rooms. There is a convenient separate laundry-room equipped with washing machine.

Kerasia - Corfu

The long sweeping beach of Kerasia is one of the most beautiful on the island, with excellent swimming and snorkelling. Ideal for people who are looking for peace and quiet, to laze in the sun or enjoy a quiet read. One taverna and a small tourist shop will cater to your needs. Although Kerasia may be too quiet for teenage children, nearby Saint Stephanos, with its two cocktail bars and several tavernas will certainly entertain them: Kerasia Corfu

Kassiopi - Corfu

Kassiopi is a lively resort at the North East corner of Corfu. A charming little fishing village, with a traditional port. Tourism has of course had its influence, but down at the harbour you can still find local fishermen bringing home the morning catch. Tavernas, shops, beaches and bars offer something for everyone. The teens in your party will appreciate the evening life - with several music bars and 'low key' clubs, it is a safe environment for them to meet other friends: Kassiopi Corfu

Avlaki - Corfu

Situated between the village of Saint Stephanos to the south and the livelier resort of Kassiopi to the North, and fringed by just a few villas and two tavernas, Avlaki is relatively unknown to most visitors to Corfu. It is a beautiful long curving bay with a gently sloping shore and fabulously clear sea. A excellent bay for dinghy sailing and sail-boarding, although during the afternoon a welcome cooling Northerly sea breeze often springs up which can make the water a bit 'choppy'. On Sundays this beach is very popular with the locals: Avlaki Corfu
