Lefkada
Lefkada or Lefkas island lies north of Kefalonia. In the summer there is a ferry service from Fiscardo on Kefalonia to Vassiliki on Lefkas. In the winter the ferry goes into Nidri port on Lefkas.

One hour by ferry from Pessada in the south of Kefalonia to Skinari on the north coast of Zakythos (also called Zante).

Ithaca Greece
Ithaca or Ithaki lies to the East of Kefalonia and is her sister island, reached by ferry from Sami to Pisaetos, taking about 40 minutes.

Corfu
Olympic Airways operate 3 times a week flights from Kefalonia to Corfu. The air-sea plane offers flights between the islands and a service to Patras, where an onward ferry service operates to Sami, taking just over two hours.

The island of Meganisi is north of Kefalonia and 4 nautical miles from Nidri on the island of Lefkas. The port of Vathi , is served daily by a ferry from Nidri.
