When Aristotle was alive he used this island as a game farm and said that if he had no grandchildren, he would use the island for disadvantaged children. On the island of Sparti, Onassis began building a resort with an airport for island hopping jet setters. This was planned for his son Alex, who was a pilot, but all plans were halted after his son died in an aeroplane accident.

VARDIANI

This is the island near XI beach which can be seen from Lassi. You can take a boat trip from Argostoli on Captain Makis' Glass Bottom Boat which will stop at Vardiani island or take a rowing boat from XI beach as it is only 500 metres from there. Vardiani island is also known as rabbit island as they are the only inhabitants.
