The Christening of Polychronos and Elelina's first baby took place at the church of the Panaghia Platytera in Fiscardo in October 2005.

Church services are held at the local church in Fiscardo every second Sunday. There are two important feastdays - 15th August which is the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the 8th September which is the birthday of the Virgin Mary celebrated in Fiscardo. This is the main feastday of Our Lady of Platytera which is also celebrated in the monastery of Paliohersos in the Mesovounia area of Erissos.
