This imposing newly built church has some exceptional modern frescoes and a superb wood carved iconostasis with beautiful modern icons.
A miraculous icon of St Phanedon(Gregory Theodore Leon of Constantinople) and the icon of the Virgin and Child (the Loutrou) where removed from the destroyed Monastery of St. Phanedron located nearby and placed in the new Church of the Virgin in Sami for safe keeping.
