Liakas Horio near Spartia

Situated on the hillside above Cape Liakas close to the village of Spartia, Liakas Horio is a group of eight houses each of which is split into two separate one-bedroom apartments.

The Liakas Horio apartments command stunning views of Mount Ainos and across the surrounding coutryside to sea with the island of Zakynthos in sight.

The apartments have spacious verandas equipped with table and chairs for al frescoe dining and to enjoy the scenic surroundings.

The one-bedroom apartments each occupy an entire floor of the house and sleep up to four persons and there is also one studio for two persons.
The apartments have a telephone.

The apartments are spacious and well-furnished and have a fully equipped kitchen and dining area plus a private shower room with wc.

The air-conditioned bedrooms have twin beds with a sofa-bed which converts to a double bed in the living room.

The focal point of the property is undoubtedly the large swimming pool of 7 x 14 metres (with a depth of 1.40 to 2.90 metres). There is a separate children's pool (0.65 metres deep). The pool and tennis court are set away from the apartments in spacious, well kept grounds and there is a pool bar serving drinks and snacks through the day. Guests are asked to bring their own tennis equipment.

Apart from the tennis court, there are also basketball and volleyball courts.

Beaches are about half an hour's walk or 5 minutes' drive away with the village of Spartia being 2 kms away. Spartia village has two minimarkets and a few tavernas. There are three more tavernas close to the beach below.
A 20 miute drive brings you to the sandy beaches of Trapezaki with Lourdas only a few more minutes' drive with watersports and motor-boat hire. More watersports are available from the beaches of Makris Yialos in Lassi which is also around 20 minutes' drive, as is the capital Argostoli. The local port of Pessada has a daily ferry service to the island of Zakynthos which takes about one and a quarter hours.

For local exploring you will find close by the Mycenaean tombs of Mazarakata dating back to 1200 BC, the monastery and museum of Saint Andreas, two Robola wine estates offering tastings of their produce and the Castle of Saint George which is also a perfect panoramic setting for romantic dining.
